Then a Cat-3 hurricane barrels toward the Carolinas. \n\n\n\nWith Rosalynn’s mother\, Lillian\, joining the evacuation\, three generations of women—and Rosalynn’s service dog\, Dusty—take to the road. What begins as an escape from the storm becomes a journey through old betrayals\, new crises\, and a pivotal chapter of family history: their connection to the historic Capitol Crawl and the fight for passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act. \n\n\n\nAs secrets surface and tempers flare\, the women discover that hope and reconciliation requires care\, patience\, and time—much like brewing the perfect pitcher of Summerville sweet tea. \n\n\n\nOne sweet evening. One unforgettable Southern story. And the perfect way to kick off a glorious Sweet Tea Festival weekend! \n\n\n\nSpace will be limited\, so grab your ticket and join us for a Sweet Prelude to one of Summerville’s favorite weekends! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nUSA Today bestseller Catherine Mann has written women’s fiction\, romance\, and romantic suspense for Lake Union\, HQN\, Harlequin series\, Berkley\, Tule\, and Sourcebooks\, with novels released in more than thirty countries. Her novels have won numerous awards\, including a RITA Award\, the Romantic Times Magazine Reviewer’s Choice Award\, and the Bookseller’s Best Award. \n\n\n\nA College of Charleston graduate\, after years of moving around the country Catherine has settled back in her home state of South Carolina with her Harley-riding husband. Empty nesters\, they have a blended family of nine children\, nine grandchildren\, two dogs\, and three feral cats\, who all provide endless inspiration for her Southern set novels.
